Thanks! I wish i had any to test with, that'due south a good idea, i even have the vinegar. I'll still have the pigment though and so maybe i can find a scrap in storage and try information technology out.

Currently waiting for these rails to dry, and then examination fit, drill, ream, prime, etc... probably volition have a effect on these sun

Yesterday, primed it i glaze on the whole of it. Let it dry 24 hours exactly similar it says, before adding more. Got information technology all drilled. Primed the drilled holes, touched up the one glaze, now waiting another 24 hours.

Also: I am using this product incorrectly. This product is specifically intended to be sprayed ONTO RUST and what the production does is  form a NEW LAYER which is no longer an oxide layer, which can be painted.

I AM DOING It Wrong by putting it on blank steel! But! This is too the only primer I accept and information technology's rustoleum then I'yard going for information technology! I just desire to brand sure I practise it exactly as instructed to effort to get a good upshot.

I will too RINSE (non wipe) these rails with windex, and so water, and then air dry before putting on enamel.

If anyone is curious: I am making a fully custom roof rack to hold solar panels on a honda odyssey. The only manner to do this is to build information technology yourself!
